Independence Mall Map

Independence Mall is a three block area in Historic Philadelphia. It is home to some of the city's most famous historic sites, as well as newly constructed museums and attractions.

This illustrated map is part of a press kit GPTMC created to promote the newly built expansions and the great historic sites on Independence Mall.

Independence Mall Map cover The map cover features Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776.

Framed Independence Mall Map This is me with the framed copy of the map that GPTMC gave to Michael Nutter, Mayor of Philadelphia.

Process: I based the drawings on my own photos and observations, supplemented with satellite images from Google. My goal was to strike a balance of detail and find the visual essence of each place.
